As far as where to hunt, there are 11 million acres of public hunting land, 528 designated hunting areas covering nearing 1 million acres, and more
than 40 designated ruffed grouse management areas in the state of Minnesota. Up here in the northwoods, we are near the 1.6 million acre Chippewa
National Forest that is home to 298 miles of non-motorized trails.
