Blackduck Area

Experience amazing sunsets and the cry of the loon on beautiful Blackduck Lake. Truly one of Northern Minnesota's treasures. Watch wildlife such as bald eagles in flight and just relax. Blackduck offers many recreational opportunities: hunting, fishing, water sports, cross-country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling, hiking and bird watching. Blackduck sits at the northwest edge of the Chippewa National Forest: 1.6 million acres of forest lands, over 700 lakes, numerous trails and waterways, and home to the largest bald eagle breeding population in the lower 48 states.

The City of Blackduck owns and operates Pine Tree Park-located 1-1/2 miles west of the city on beautiful Blackduck Lake, in addition to the Blackduck Wayside Rest, located along the east side of Highway #71 in town.
