The Minnesota Northwoods are prime areas to hunt, with an abundance of wildlife and hunting trails surrounding our resorts. Between the Northwoods and the Chippewa National Forest we have ideal living conditions for many different species. Whether you’re hunting for grouse or whitetail deer, the Northwoods are the perfect place to hunt.

To find which resort will put you in the ideal area for hunting, you need to ask yourself what do you want to hunt: Deer, bear, grouse, pheasants, ducks, turkeys? When deciding where to hunt you should take a look at a Minnesota DNR zoning map. Especially when it comes to deer hunting, different zones have different regulations.

The next step you can take is to research different public hunting areas and their species populations. Quite a few of our Northwoods resorts have gathered this information for you already.

When deciding where to stay during hunting season take a look at our resorts hunting tab on their individual websites. They will provide you with information you need to make a decision.
