Need something more exciting than kayaking or fishing to keep you out on the water? Do you want to do something more heart-racing? Do you love the adrenaline rush? There are plenty of watersports just for you.

You may think that in Northern Minnesota everyone just fishes and canoes, but the 10,000 lakes are a great place for you to play on the water. Up here we jet ski, water ski and go tubing.

There are also many extreme water sports you can do in the Minnesota Northwoods. Kneeboarding, wakeskating, water skiing, sailing, jet skiing, tubing, and parasailing to name a few.

Some other water sports that are fun, but need more room are white water rafting, barefoot skiing, boat racing, surfing, windsurfing, and flyboarding.

If you’re going to participate in any extreme water sports be sure to have the right equipment (gloves, ropes, life jacket, etc.).

Have fun and be safe out on the water in the Minnesota Northwoods!
