Big Lake, like other lakes in the Minnesota Northwoods, is an ideal fishing lake. It offers a variety of fish, including: Bluegill, Bass, Northern Pike, Muskie, and Walleye. There are quiet by areas west of the island in the lake that allow for good fishing no matter what Mother Nature has in store for you and your fishing trip.
This lake is located in the Chippewa National Forest, surrounding it by acres of beautiful nature, but it is just 12 miles from Bemidji, if you need to make a bait or snack run for your fishing trip.
