The Minnesota Northwoods has something for everyone. Vacationing is a time we all look forward to so we can relax and recharge. Whatever that looks like for you, the vacation resorts of Minnesota Northwoods have it all!

One of our favorite ways to spend the day in the northwoods is on the lake. If you are an early riser, you can enjoy the calm early morning waters and go fishing or go for a paddle in a kayak or canoe.

To beat the late morning and afternoon heat, swimming is a fun activity for everyone young and old. You can also take a boat out for tubing or water skiing if you are looking for a more adventurous afternoon. And of course, there is always fishing. You can grab a boat to reach that perfect fishing hole across the lake and reel in some fresh fish for dinner. Ask your hosts for tips on the best fishing spots!

The lake is fun, but there is also a lot to see away from the water. The Minnesota Northwoods resorts have miles of biking and hiking trails in the area so grab a bike or lace up your hiking shoes and spend the day exploring the northwoods by pedal or on foot. One of our favorite places to bike is the Paul Bunyan trail. For hiking we love Bemidji State Park’s bog walk and the Chippewa National Forest which both have amazing scenery.

End your perfect day in the northwoods with a bonfire, roasting s’mores or enjoying the crackling fire, while you continue creating more memories up north.

Book your stay today at one of our resorts and experience your perfect day in the northwoods!
