Summer in the Northwoods is great for fishing, water activities, and biking! Each of our lakes offer a wide variety of fish to catch, and if you’re not having any luck on one, some of them are along a chain of lakes, so you don’t even need to take your boat out of the water to try another lake! Aside from fishing, your family can enjoy their time with many other water activities, such as tubing, water skiing, or just a relaxing swim. Between all the parks and forests in the Northwoods, there are miles and miles of trails to bike on and see all of the beautiful nature they have to offer.

Itasca State Park is the oldest and most popular state park in Minnesota. It is home to the Mississippi Headwaters, and it’s only about 45 minutes from your vacation spot in the Northwoods. The Chippewa National Forest is another treasure in the Northwoods. Within its borders, the Lost Forty is an area of land that was originally described at part of Coddington Lake, leaving it untouched by loggers.

There are many entertainment options in and around the Northwoods for the whole family to enjoy. There are a variety of dining options that your family is sure to love! Whether you’re looking for a formal or informal option, you are sure to find the perfect fit for your family.
