DAYS OF REST & RELAXATION

July not only marks the anniversary of our nation’s independence, it also means that summer is in full swing and the Minnesota Northwoods are alive with the sights and sounds of vacationing! Whether you spend your days fishing and swimming on one of our pristine lakes , hiking in the woods, walking the golf course, or grilling after dark, now is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy a Minnesota resort family vacation.

Moose Lake, located near Bemidji, Blackduck and Cass Lake, is a wonderful, quiet lake for fishing or enjoying other water activities. Moose Lake’s clear, spring-fed waters reach a maximum depth of 72 feet and boast seven miles of shoreline surrounded by the Chippewa National Forest. Moose Lake is best known for its variety of fish including walleye, northern pike, black crappie, bluegill, largemouth bass, yellow perch, rock bass and bullheads.

Moose Lake is also home to three premiere Minnesota Northwoods resorts: Hassel’s Hideaway, Moose Lake Resort and Paradise Resort Lodge & Grill. Each resort on Moose Lake is unique in its own way so there’s something for everyone to do!

According to the owners, the fishing has been great all summer. Their pet-friendly cabins are available for long and short-terms stays, so you don’t have to book for the whole week if getting time off is an issue. Guests rave that the west-facing shoreline and cabins offer some of the most beautiful sunset views around!

The space and seclusion is what Moose Lake Resort guests appreciate most. Each rustic cabin has an ample yard area, located along the lakeshore with a private dock. Guests can also fine tune their golf skills at either the 3-hole traditional golf course or the 9-hole disc golf course, both private and located on site. A unique feature for a private resort located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest.

Paradise Resort Lodge & Grill

The full-service grill is open to the public daily at 4pm serving great burgers, tap beers and more. Each lakefront cabin comes with a personal dock, perfect for fun dock fishing and relaxation. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled along Moose Lake Road for the Showy Lady’s Slippers that are in full bloom just outside the Paradise Resort property.

Whether you’re in search of outdoor recreation or some good old rest and relaxation, there is certainly a resort that will accommodate your vacation needs on beautiful Moose Lake.
