unplug unwind

When is the last time you truly relaxed and disconnected from the stresses of your life? With the abundance of adventurous and recreational things to do in Minnesota Northwoods, perhaps we tend to overlook the sanctuary of solitude you’ll discover upon arrival.

If you appreciate a chance to stop and smell the wildflowers, then pack your bathing suit and a good book and head to the Northwoods!

The Perfect Solo Vacation

Are you looking for a relaxing solo trip where you can disconnect and quite literally be alone with your thoughts? Maybe you’re seeking solace in a place to write your memoir or needing to destress after a particularly trying year?

Our resorts have all the amenities you’ll need, so you can spend the whole week without ever leaving your resort’s property if you so choose. Whatever you choose to do (or not do), your only distractions will be the peaceful sounds of mother nature.

Relaxing Resort Vacation

Friends, families and couples need a chance to unwind too! There are as many ways to relax in Minnesota Northwoods as there are lakes. Get up early for a peaceful paddle board or kayak cruise as you take in the natural, untouched beauty of our shorelines. Most of our resorts let you take these out for free. Have a campfire and enjoy each other’s company as the sun sets on the evergreen horizon. You’ll get the best sleep of your life too, drifting off to sleep to the call of the loons, the cool summer breeze and sound of the waves lapping outside your window.

Unwind Off-Site

Want to spend a day or two off site during your Minnesota lake vacation? Ask the resort staff about the area’s golf and disc golf courses. The nearby towns of Bemidji and Blackduck both have great places to enjoy a relaxing round of 9 or 18 holes.
Or do what the locals do! It’s a short drive to Bemidji’s Power Dam on Power Dam Road, where locals bring their own inflatable tubes and enjoy a relaxing float down the Mississippi River. You’ll need at least two vehicles to make it successful; one to leave a few miles down at the Roosevelt Road bridge where you’ll eventually end your lazy river float.
