Nothing compares to summers spent in the Minnesota Northwoods with family and friends! The possibility for adventure is endless. Whether you want to explore the outdoors or check out some of the entertainment options in the area, the Northwoods has something for everyone.

Our summers are perfect for a variety of outdoor recreation activities, especially those on the lake. Head out on one of our many lakes, whether it’s the one your resort is on or you plan to take a day trip to check out another (there are over 400 lakes in a 25 mile radius of Bemidji!). If fishing isn’t what you’re looking for, most of our resorts have multiple water toys available for guests to use, and they are perfect for kids and adults alike.

If you’re looking to adventure out into the wilderness, you can either venture out to the nature that surrounds your resort, or take a little trip to one of ten forest/recreation areas. Each has unique sights and history to it. The oldest and most popular state park in Minnesota is Itasca State Park, and it is only about 45 minutes away from your resort. A unique feature of the Cass Lake area is that the island in Cass Lake, Star Island, is home to Lake Windigo. This “lake in the island in the lake” is featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Although there are some private homes on the island, it is open for recreational use as well.

Sometimes the weather isn’t as nice as we would hope, but that’s okay because it will give you a chance to explore some of our entertainment options in the area!
